Facilities
We have workstations with G4 iMac computers that are double-screened with WACOM write-on tablets. Workstations have 160 GB external hard drives that contain digital copies of the SAR (synthetic aperture radar) bases (~250 m/pixel) as well as synthetic stereo for 61 Venusian quadrangles. Workstation software includes image enhancement and drawing programs (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) and MAP. MAP, a program written by former Ph.D. student and post-doc Duncan Young, allows us to create synthetic stereo and altimetry images of Venus’ surface.
We've just moved to a larger lab space. Here's the new floorplan!
