PLANNING FOR SEPT 2005 INTO 2006: HELP NEEDED! If you would like to help Carol and Cindy come up with ideas for Wild Ones events starting September 2005, please let us know. We'd love to have you and it's kinda fun! (OK, and kind of like work, but FUN work. really.)
COMMUNITY GARDEN - NEEDS WATER!!!!
We have planted about $500 worth of new trees, shrubs and plants, but of course now it is hot and dry (I guess this is what one should expect in July). A few of them, especially 3 high bush cranberry bushes planted at the east end of the lake side, and 3 black chokeberry bushes planted at the other end of the lake side, are barely surviving. If anyone has time to bring a few gallons of water with them when they go to stroll on the lakewalk, please give them a drink. They also need mulch, especially the chokeberries. Carol will try calling the City to ask them to water, but not sure if they will have the staff to get to it very often.
GROUP ORDER REFUNDS: Jen and Carol are working on this and will try to get the orders "settled up" soon. This is the pain in the arse part of the group order effort, so have patience.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE: is coming up! look in the Journal or see the national web site for details. It's in the Twin Cities this year - practically local!
