WILD ONES, ARROWHEAD CHAPTER, CALENDAR
FOR 2006
2005 Calendar
- April 26, 2006 (Wed)
- Bob DuBois, Entomologist with the Wisconsin DNR, will speak on dragonflies
and damselflies. Bob recently published a book on this subject. He’ll
cover basic ecology and identification in a slide show. The tie to plants is
that aquatic (for larvae) and terrestrial vegetation (for adults) are both
very important to dragonflies and damselflies. Adults use riparian trees, shrubs
and grasses for roosting and shelter at night and during inclement weather,
to provide shade, and for surfaces for gleaning prey. 7:00 PM at Hartley Nature
Center.
- *** NEW~! May 11, 2006 (Thur)
