Landscaping with Native Plants

Members of the local Arrowhead Chapter of Wild Ones Natural Landscapers will be presenting a one-night workshop on Landscaping with Native Plants through the Duluth Community Education program (Independent School District 709) this April. The workshop will be offered on two different nights: April 4 at Woodland Community School (201 Clover Street, just off Woodland in East Duluth) and again April 17 at Laura MacArthur Community School (725 Central Avenue, about 6 blocks east of Hwy 35 in West Duluth). The class will run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

In addition to learning the benefits of landscaping with native plants, attendees will receive information on specific trees, shrubs and plants that are native to the Duluth area, where to purchase them, and how to go about planting and caring for them.

You can register for the class by mail by sending a check for $4/person payable to ISD 709 to Community Education 215 N 1st Av E 55802 along with your name, telephone number, and the name, date and location of the class.
