Weeding suggestions for the Wild Ones Garden at Lief Erickson Park @ the Lakewalk - Fall 2011 and Spring 2012

1. pull tall plants in entrance garden

2. dig out Monarda in island

3. trim/prune dogwood

4. pull Maximillian sunflower near front of walkway

5. move spruce to lakeside garden

6. trim/prune elderberry

Proposed additions to the Wild Ones Garden @ the Lakewalk - 2012

1. plant more Solomon's seal, Virginia bluebells, and bottle gentian in lakeside garden

2. add nodding trillium, and native clematis near the trees in the lakeside garden

3. add rattle snake master, turtleheads, ginger and blue vervain

4. plant some black-eyed Susans each year

5. try liatris, and asters ( large-leaved, sky-blue, crooked stem, New Engalnd) in the sunny part of the lakeside garden
