AGENDA:
Come to Wild Ones on February 23 when we will be putting together the Aldo Leopold
garden bench! (To preview or download the bench plans go to:

choose Wood Projects from the left index, and then choose Aldo Leopold Bench).
The bench will come as a kit with all pieces cut, but we will need to drill
holes and fasten the pieces together. Before being used in the garden your
bench should be sanded and oiled or varnished or painted. Get creative and
make your bench your own with stencils, carvings, or using a wood burner!
To order your bench kit, call Cindy at 525-6504 (evenings)
by Thursday, February 17. Please indicate the length you want the bench (33" up to 48").
We will be making the benches out of fir; cost is about $30.00. If you can,
please bring a drill with a 3/16 or 7/32 drill bit, a 3/8 drill bit, a 9/16
wrench, and a Phillips head screwdriver for assembly on February 23.
If you are not ordering a bench, come anyway and help others who might not be as handy. We'll talk about gardening and hear about the Plant of the Month. Maybe someone will share their garden plan we were inspired to work on in January. Carol and others will also bring plant books, catalogs and other garden planning resources that all are welcome to use.
The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. at Hartley Nature Center. There is no cost for Wild Ones members, but guests are asked to donate $4.00 to Hartley. Questions? Call Carol at 730-9954. Hope to see you there!
