Help Sustain Wildlife in our Yards?
- Presenter: Tim Craig, UMD Etymologist.
- Next Wednesday, March 25, Tim Craig, UMD Etymologist will speak at Hartley Nature Center at
7:00 PM on "Plant & Insect Interactions: Can Native Plants Attract Beneficial Insect
and Help Sustain Wildlife in our Yards?" Professor Craig is a biologist at
the University of Minnesota Duluth who studies the evolution of plant-insect interactions.
Maybe the insects don't directly power the turning of the earth, but they do play a key role in the
web of ecology, from pollination to bird buffet.
This event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by Hartley Nature Center and Wild
Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes - a national non-profit promoting sustainable landscaping.
