Current Projects
Blur
In December, I
directed Blur by Melanie Marnich for the UMD Theatre Department. The show
ran in the Dudley Experimental Theater from December 5-14, 2002. The show
was entered in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Fetsival and is
one of 10 plays selected for the Region 5 Festival in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The festival performance
of Blur will take place in the Gallagher-Bluedorn Theatre on the
campus of the University of Northern Iowa on Friday January 24, 2003. The show
is now entered in the national competition and has a chance to play at the
Kennedy Center in April.

I
directed the first show of our 17th season, Quake by Melanie Marnich.
The show was filled with company members and was a truly wonderful
experience.
-
I
am currently on the Season Selection Committee and I am reading dozens
of plays. I am working with company members and the new Artistic Director,
Damon Kiely, on selecting a fantastic collection of new and classic American
plays for the 2003-2004 season.
-
I will be writing grants this spring.
-
I am writing two ten minute plays for the Relatives Project.
Video/Website
- I will be editing digital video this spring in the UMD Visualization &
Digital Imaging Lab. Short scenes from Romeo & Juliet (April 02) will be
edited and included on a DVD with interviews with cast members, designers,
and the director. TopGirls (Mar 02) will be cut together on burned on to
a DVD as well.
- I am also planning to shoot some short, dramatic videos with UMD student
Jeffrey Chauncey.
- I am building a Website for TH 3201 Stage Direction through a grant from
the UMD Information Technology & Technical Services department.
