Bulldogs Behind the Scenes: Bagley Nature Area

Join us online (via Zoom) 12:00 - 1:00 p.m (CT).

Join us on a virtual tour of Bagley Nature Area, where we will stroll along and learn the stories of this amazing 59-acre on-campus resource. Our guide will be Tim Bates, Associate Director of UMD’s Recreational Sports Outdoor Program and Chair of the Bagley Nature Area Management Committee. Discover how this area came to be as well as it’s natural and cultural stories including how it is used by the campus and greater Duluth community. Bagley features old growth forests, a seismic research station, ski hill, campground, and farming. Our tour will start at Rock Pond, hike up the trail, and then get a drone’s eye view while learning about this amazing classroom and recreational area from someone who knows a great amount about the place.

Virtual Bulldogs Behind the Scenes tours are open to all alumni and friends. These events are family friendly. Registration is free. The virtual tour will be recorded live, and uploaded to YouTube for later viewing.
