Dining Services' Mission
Dining Services is dedicated to supporting and improving the student and community experience by providing nourishment, fostering a strong community, and creating a welcoming and inclusive dining experience while advancing the University’s mission and goals.
In support of this mission, and the mission of the University of Minnesota Duluth, we are committed to:
- Serving quality food and beverages at all times
- Providing quick, friendly, and responsive services
- Making food safety and sanitation a priority
- Practicing sustainability by respecting our environment, and consciously purchasing local foods
- Providing innovative responses to varied culinary palates, including healthy options
- Offering progressive dining venues including a contemporary food court, private sit-down restaurant, catering services, cafes, kiosks, and UMD self-branded concepts.
- Continuing to seek opportunities to enhance food offerings, improve and expand facilities, and build a fiscally responsible dining program
- Valuing the loyalty, hard work and integrity of our staff and seek to enhance this through continual training and open communication
- Fostering student staff development through leadership, training, and life skills whenever possible
