Silver Medal at National Culinary Challenge
UMD Dining Services is proud to announce that Chef Channie Homich has taken the Silver Medal at the 2018 Continental-Pacific Regional Conference Culinary Challenge in Salt Lake City. This competition is open to schools that are members of National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS). Individual Chefs competed against the clock to create creative dishes featuring the mandatory combination of Littleneck clams, whole squid, and oysters.
This live competition recognizes outstanding organization, cooking skills, culinary technique, taste, and style. The winners of each of NACUFS’ regional culinary competitions square off at the national conference for gold, silver, and bronze medals before a live audience of college and university foodservice professionals, industry experts, and ACF judges. This year's national conference will be held in Providence, RI.
Please join us all in congratulating Chef Channie!
