Shop Safety Training
There are 2 parts to the Shop Safety Training. The first part is a general course for anyone who will be in a shop area conducting very limited tasks (using hand tools). Part 2 goes into details on specific equipment. If you are operating industrial equipment (saws, lathe, etc.) in a shop you need to take Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 Overview:
Shop rules, Controls and guarding, PPE, housekeeping, hand and power tool safety, grinding wheels. This Course will take approximately 30mins.
Part 2 Overview:
Detailed safety training on: Drill Press, Hydraulic Press, Iron Worker, Impact Tower, Jointer, Lathe, Milling Machine, Industrial Ovens, Planer, Press Brake, Saws, Shear, Welding and Cutting, Brazing and Soldering. Part 2 will take between 30 mins to 2 hours depending upon how many topics apply to you.
