The University of Minnesota System, which includes the University of Minnesota Duluth, will offer a hybrid model for Fall Semester 2020 due to COVID-19.  For more details about the University's COVID-19 plan, please click here.

International student orientation is tentatively scheduled for August 24-27 for undergraduate students, and August 28th for graduate students.    Please check back for updates.   Contact us if you have questions.

ISS Pick Up Service

If you would like to be picked up at the airport or bus stop in Duluth, please let us know at least three weeks in advance by emailing us at issumd@d.umn.edu with your travel details, including arrival time and location.

Important note: Due to COVID-19 we will likely have a very limited number of pick ups available. Please continue to submit your requests and we will follow up with you when we have more information.  We will follow up with you to confirm if we are able to offer pick up service or not.   If we are not able to pick you up we will provide information about other transportation options you can use once you arrive in Duluth.

Please note: ISS arranged pick-up hours are between 8:00am-11:00pm.

Graduate students with assistantships should plan to arrive at least 7 days before your assistantship appointment begins so that you can apply for your social security number.  (If you do not have an assistantship you do not need to arrive 7 days early).
