COVID-19 & Fall 2020

June 2020:  The University of Minnesota System, which includes the University of Minnesota Duluth, has not yet determined whether classes will be in person or online in the fall due to COVID-19.   Please continue to check back for updates.

If fall semester is in person, new international students traveling into the US from abroad may have to self-quarantine for two weeks after entering the United States.   In person international student orientation is tentatively scheduled for August 24-27 for undergraduate students, and August 28th for graduate students.    Please check back for updates.   Contact us if you have questions.

ISS Pick Up Service

If you would like to be picked up at the airport or bus stop in Duluth, please let us know at least three weeks in advance by emailing us at issumd@d.umn.edu with your travel details, including arrival time and location.

Please note: ISS arranged pick-up hours are between 8:00am-11:00pm.

Graduate students with assistantships should plan to arrive at least 7 days before your assistantship appointment begins so that you can apply for your social security number.  (If you do not have an assistantship you do not need to arrive 7 days early).
