Girls are Learning the Ropes, Building the Boats

What:
Demonstration and testing of Styrofoam boats built by girls at E-Fun Tech Camp, an introduction to engineering. The boat building is a weeklong process that blends civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts.
Who:
19 middle school girls will talk about their building process as their boats hit the water. UMD students and professors are lending a hand.
When:
Thursday, July 24 from 1 – 4 p.m. (Best photo opportunity is 2 p.m.)
