Interested in fitness activities?

Fitness and Wellness provides opportunities for the University Community to be physically active through informal participation structured programming. Goals include improved overall health and fitness, stress management, weight control, concentration and feeling of well-being.

Spring 2021 Activities


How do you 5K?  Follow RSOP on Facebook and/or Instagram. Choose your favorite cardio activity and commit to 3.1 miles of fun!  Run, walk, hike, cross-country ski, skate ski, ice skate, fat tire bike - the list is endless.  Post a pic along with the hashtag #5kMyWayRSOP for your chance to win a Qdoba gift card!
Challenge Runs March 1-31
Cost: Free


Grab a roommate, friend, or family member and commit to 30 planks in 30 days!  Choose a different plank style each day - high plank, low plank, side plank, walking plank, etc. and challenge yourself to add 5 seconds each time.  The challenge can be done together in-person or virtually. By the end of the 30 days, you and your partner will be surprised by your improvement!

Post a pic of you and your partner demonstrating a plank along with the hashtag #PartnerPlankRSOP for your chance to win a Subway gift card for you and your plank partner! Your names will be entered into the drawing for each day that you post.

All of our staff are trained to give you a generalized introduction to the use and function of the weight room equipment. Just stop by during open hours and ask any of the weightroom attendants for a tour. We recommend you hire a personal trainer if you want help setting up an exercise program.
