An info session will be held at 5 pm, Wednesday, October 9 in (TBD location) for the Field Studies in Marine Biology course that takes place in New Zealand during May session 2020. This 4-credit biology course will explore the coastal waters and temperate reef systems of New Zealand. The majority of the time will be spent in newly renovated Leigh Marine Lab that is part of the marine reserve. Daily snorkeling and several optional SCUBA trips are available. Trips include all major marine habitats including two day trips on the lab's research vessel and an additional trip to snorkel/SCUBA on the Poor Knights Islands, an international top ten dive spot. Trips to ecological reserves, sand dune sledding, nocturnal kiwi hunt, and a black water rafting expedition are all included.
