JSF projects can be created in NetBeans in two ways:
Either action brings up a 4 step New Project wizard. After you have completed the wizard you will have a new project but due to a deficiency in the NetBeans 8.0 versions, you will have to do two more steps:
The New Project wizard has four steps:
To start the wizard right-click in the NetBeans "Projects" pane and click on the "New Project..." menu item in the pop-up menu as shown below.
Fill in the "Project Name:" field and browse to or fill in the "Project Location:" field. The "Project Folder:" field is then filled in automatically.
The defaults are acceptable here.
The defaults are acceptable here except for the "JavaServer Faces" checkbox. It should be checked.
When wizard is completed and the missing library and file have been added the new project should appear as shown below.
