Brief Biography

Haiyang(Henry) Wang is an Associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Minnesota Duluth, MN, USA. He received his Master's degree from THUxukeGroup and Tongji University in 2007, and PhD from Simon Fraser University, Canada, in 2013 (PhD Advisor: Dr. Jiangchuan Liu). He was in the development team of China's first IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack core router (BitEngine 12000 Series) and RFC 5747: 4over6 Transit Solution Using IP Encapsulation and MP-BGP Extensions.

Research Interests     [Publications]   

His research interests are in networking, in particular, cloud computing, big data, socialized content sharing, multimedia communications, peer-to-peer networks, and distributed computing.

Computer Science internships are work experiences in which currently enrolled students work for companies willing to supervise an educational experience that is of mutual benefit to the student and the company. Although a computer science internship is not a requirement for graduation, at UMD we encourage our majors in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems to complete an internship as part of their undergraduate education.
