One of the favorite things to do in Duluth, MN for the visitors and community is to enjoy the many outdoor activities. Canal Park is one of the main attractions-- there are many shops and food venues that are local. There are many pros and cons to living in the city of Duluth.
Pros:
- Canal Park- Tourism brings more money and people to the city
- Lake Superior-the largest of the five great lakes
- Hills that overlook the city
- Many trails for hiking, mountain biking, ect.
- Less Industry= less air pollution
- Hockey Oriented
- Diversity in people
- Winter Sporting- Spirit Mountain
- Many college opportunities: UMD, CSS, LSC, DBU
- Many restaurants
- Lots of entainerment opportunities
- Host of Grandma's Marathon
Cons:
- Many college age kids (Parties)
- Poplation is seasonal
- Many businesses aimed towards college kids
- more bars and liquior stores
- Cold winters, wind and precipitation from lake
- Hilly, hard to drive in the winter
- Weather hard on cars
- Lots of road constructions
- Far from twin cities
