Job description:
Responsible for assisting the Costume Designer through the design process, maintining communcations between the costume shop, stage manger and crews throughout the production process.
Schedule:
Assistant Costume Designer will assist meeting all due dates. Items are due on a Monday and presented at the production meeting on Tuesday. It is essential that the designer and assistant designer adhere to these dates.

The Assistant Costume Designer will help in pulling of costumes, accessories, and materials for builds, and is expected to help with finishing of the costumes (dye, craftwork, embellishments, etc).
Faculty Mentor:
At the start of the process a weekly meeting will be scheduled with the Costume Designer and faculty costume design mentor.
Dress Rehearsals and Performances:
Assistant Costume Designer must attend all dress rehearsals and any Quick Change rehearsals scheduled during tech week.
Costume Designers will take notes on the costumes during the run, discuss the notes with the faulty mentor and present any relevant notes during the tech table discussion. If asked, the assistant designer is expected to email notes to the Costume Shop Manager and the design mentor at the end of every dress rehearsal.
The Assistant Costume Designer must help address any design notes that come up during performances.
Strike:
Attend strike and help with laundry and organization
Grading:
The final grade is determined by the faculty mentor following a meeting with the faculty mentor to discuss how the show went and areas for improvement. Notes from the rest of the production team may be given at this time.
