  God is dead?

I don't. The statement that God is dead came from Nietzsche. Mostly the veiw that God is dead is the result of a rejection of organized religion and the
conclusion that religion is just a primitive cult.

What seems to be happening today in my opinion is the religious moderates are dying. Fundamentalism and agnostism are grabbing the new converts.
I don't see a belief in God dying ever because there isn't a turf war between
most religions and science (Fundamentalism excluded)in fact many religions are trying to unify the two (Zen and Quantum Physics, Genesis and the Big Bang) therefore no matter how scientifically advanced we become there won't be an effort to eradicate religion.

God is not Dead
Star Trek is dead
