However, I don't feel that many people believe this point of view and I think that it is very hard to come out of school being well rounded since we all focus on a certain area. I think that most students see a degree as a means to an end and simply want a piece of paper that will hopefully get them a job. They don't take the opportunity to view the liberal education idea as a way to expend their knowledge, but simply some clases they have to fill to get a degree. So, in agreement with you, I do feel the liberal education serves a very good purpose, but I don't think that many view it in the same way.
