Hey Tyson-
I think you may be right about how today society sets norms and shows images of what you can wear, eat drink, etc. The difference today is that we have the choice to wear, eat or drink all the stuff that the t.v newspaper, etc. advertises or whatever they don't advertise. I for one do not listen and defintely do not follow everyhthing that the television says I should have or be doing. Maybe because I am a poor collehe student and can't afford that stuff, but I would rather like to think it is because I have my own mind which makes decisions. Decisions that aren't based on what's the latest norm or fad. If you are following the media then you need to stop being a conformist and be your own person. You'll be a lot happier.

If you let others tell you what to believe you need to re-evaluate what your life stands for. What does your life really stand for if you believe something because you are told to. I know from experience that you can't be passionate about anything unless you believe it yourself. You can't sell a great tasting beer to someone else if you think the beer really tastes like warm piss. Sorry bad analogy but you know what I mean? So find out what you believe and get passionate about it otherwise life isn't really worth living, is it?

Hey sorry- if that sounded like a parent lecturing it wasn't meant that way-that is just how I feel.
Mary*
