This is the World Wide Web discussion forum for our Renaissance Legacy class. I want to welcome you to an effort to share our thinking about the ideas and values that emerged from the European Renaissance, explore the continuing impact of those ideas and raise questions about the way such ideas have shaped our time. We can share ideas, web sites, and imaginative work with each other and the world wide community of knowers that the Internet is creating. We'll look at work that others have done and use it to help us understand both what produced the Renaissance and what Renaissance Legacy is.

As we proceed, I'll start some discussion threads for this board, and you'll be able to reply to what I start. You'll also be able to start our own threads, leading all of us to think about the truth that lies between us, that is the property of no one of us and that can only be discovered if we struggle with each other in the give and take of conversation. Welcome to the search for truth and passionate knowing.
