Commenting to Suppress Evaluation of Code

• Note that if you tell DrRacket to run lab01-test.scm and any of the definitions are incomplete (they still have descriptive strings that have not been replaced by the appropriate Scheme code), the test file will result in execution errors.

• To avoid this you can "comment out" any part of the test file temporarily by putting a semicolon ";" at the beginning of any line that tests an exercise you have not completed, for example:

      ;(half-turn test-bb) 

  When DrRacket runs the test file the commented lines will be ignored. When you are ready to run a test you can "uncomment" it by removing the semicolon.

• This practice is so common that DrRacket facilitates commenting and uncommenting through options under its Racket menu on the menu bar.
