Setup Required to Use Tiles

• The following jars must be in your application's WEB-INF/lib directory:
  • tiles-core-SNAPSHOT.jar
  • commons-beanutils.jar
  • commons-collections.jar
  • commons-digester.jar
  • commons-logging.jar

  Note: the first jar above is included with our textbook's applications that use Tiles; the others are required to make them work in Glassfish.

• Tiles, like JSF, requires its own controller servlet. Your deployment descriptor should look like this: web.xml
  • The tiles.xml file is the Tiles configuration file for each web app.
