Speaker: Dr. Ireena A. Erteza, Sandia National Laboratories Title: Overview of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) Research at Sandia's Radar Algorithm Development Laboratory Abstract: Sandia's Radar Algorithm Development Laboratory has been steadily funded over the past 13 years to develop innovative techniques for the exploitation of synthetic aperture radar imagery, as applied specifically to problems in nuclear nonproliferation, arms control, intelligence and defense. The talk will begin with a brief review of SAR from a signal processing perspective. Once this framework is set, the talk will continue with a discussion of some of the applied signal processing work done at Sandia National Labs with SAR, and we will detail some of the major accomplishments Sandia has had in SAR signal processing R&D.
