Fernando Delgado holds a Ph.D. and Master of Arts in communication studies from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from San Jose State University. Dr. Delgado’s previous experience includes administrative positions at Hamline University and Minnesota State University Mankato. Most recently, he served as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and provost at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Dr. Delgado began his role as UMD’s Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in July 2016. He serves as the chief academic officer for the UMD campus and oversees all academic functions of the campus.
