Congratulations to current & former tutors on their 2019 Honors Projects!
UMD’s tutoring program has been certified by the College Reading and Learning Association since 1994, and at the highest (master) level since 1999.
The Academic Writing and Learning Center's tutoring program provides FREE tutoring for all UMD undergraduate students; no appointment is necessary but you can book a space or join a tutoring session with your favorite tutor before you come or -- just stop by the Securian Learning Commons on the second floor of the Kathryn A. Martin Library and check-in.
UMD’s tutoring services are utilized by students at all levels and across all majors. A wide range of challenging courses are supported in the center. Sign-in to view tutor schedules in these eight subject areas: Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Languages, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics.
UMD’s credit-based peer tutoring program is staffed by dedicated, high-achieving undergraduate students who receive academic credit for participating in training and tutoring 3-4 hours per week.
