The Department of Biology's greenhouses are the core support facilities for plants used in our instructional laboratories and research programs. We are dedicated to providing a safe, clean, efficient, and organized facility that is open to the public for year-round learning and enjoyment. The greenhouse staff strive to provide:
- An instructional facility that welcomes learning and teaching
- A high quality botanical collection to be used by programs to host classes
- A research facility that is ready and able to host projects supported by our faculty
- Experienced and technical expertise in plant as well as greenhouse care
The mission of the Department of Biology Greenhouse is to promote awareness, appreciation, and research for plant biological diversity. One of our primary goals is to provide opportunities for students to work with and learn from plants. Faculty and staff within the Department of Biology provide students with opportunities to work with plants and conduct research for courses and independent research.
