Graduate Programs Council

10:00 a.m., November 30, 2001

Present: Mizuko, Shepard, Gilbertson, Durgunoglu, Rallis, Damme, Guldbrandsen, Millslagle.

Focus of the meeting was on a draft constitution. Some minor changes were made to ARTICLE NN. Governance, sections 1, 2 and 3. There was considerable discussion on membership of the GPC with no consensus reached.

ARTICLE NN: Admission was accepted with minor modification.

ARTICLE NN: Program Requirements was accepted with minor modifications.

The most current version is a draft.

Through the discussions, the questions/issues of program ownership, allocation of resources, and organizational structure were underlying, and the Council agreed that a meeting with the Dean was critical to our moving forward with plans. A meeting was scheduled for December 10.
