About Lisa
I earned my Master of Education degree from UMD and emphasized my studies in the area of early childhood literacy. I spent my undergraduate years at the University of North Dakota where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I am licensed in Minnesota to teach children from birth through grade six.
I have been at UMD Children’s Place since March of 2006 when I began as a long-term substitute in our Infant classroom. In August of 2006 I was hired on full time as one of our Preschool Educators and feel so blessed to have found my niche. The preschoolers keep me on my toes and help me laugh each and every day.
I was raised in southeastern Minnesota and grew up going on vacation “up north.” I feel so lucky to be living in the area where we used to vacation! My husband and I love to be outside in our beautiful community with our young son and our energetic labrador.
I am very passionate about the field of early childhood education and I tell everyone that I have the best job in the world working with preschoolers and their families. I look forward to getting to know you and your child to help make this the best experience your child can have.
