MSA Professional Services Scholarship

Deadline: March 31st, 2015

MSA Professional Services will award a $1000 scholarship to a UMD Civil or Environmental Engineering student for the fall 2015 semester. The scholarship is awarded based upon several factors which may include: past academic performance, your application essay, leadership experience, and volunteer experience. MSA will be announcing the winner of the scholarship in May. The scholarship will be payable in September 2015 for the fall semester. The winner must be enrolled and taking classes for the fall 2015 semester in order to recieve the scholarship.

MHTA 2015 STEM Scholarship

Deadline: April 1st, 2015

The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) is currently accepting applications for the Minnesota High Tech Association Foundation (MHTF) Scholarship. The scholarships are for Minnesota undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines. These awards include $2,500 and $5,000 awards and can include internship opportunities at MHTA member companies. MHTF supports diversity in this application and award process. Eligibility requirements: must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field or in STEM teaching.Only students with sophomore through senior academic status in the current school year may apply. Sophomore status may include students who have achieved this status through advanced placement (AP) credit or post-secondary options (PSEO)s. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited, Minnesota-based higher education institution.In addition to traditional STEM fields, health science majors whose studies will not lead to participation in direct patient care are welcome to apply. Scholarships will be awarded in the fall term of 2015 and presented to recipients at MHTA’s Tekne Awards in November. Students must be enrolled at time of award.

City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) Scholarship

Deadline: April 30th, 2015

The City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) Scholarship Program for civil engineering students consists of a total of six $2,500 scholarships awarded to eligible students currently enrolled in accredited civil engineering programs at each of the following schools:  University of Minnesota, Minnesota State University Mankato and University of Minnesota Duluth. The Civil Engineering student must be attending either University of Minnesota, Minnesota State University Mankato or University of Minnesota Duluth in an accredited civil engineering program.  Applicant must attend school full time for three quarters or two semesters during the academic school year and must have completed one-half of the curriculum at the time of scholarship award. APWA-MN Scholarship

Deadline: June 12th, 2015

Each year the Minnesota Chapter of APWA offers five scholarships for students in the Public works-related programs (e.g. Civil Engineering): one for $1750 and four for $1250. Contact Dan Fink at daniel.fink@metc.state.mn.us with any questions.
