Program applications are due the sixth Friday of each semester, at 4 p.m., in 150 EduE, for the following semester.

Unified Early Childhood Program
The new Unified Early Childhood Program offers Birth through Grade 3 licensure.
Elementary/Middle School
The Elementary Education Program ofers Kindergarten through Grade 8 licensure, with an academic minor in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, French*, German*, Spanish*, or Ojibwe.
* Students interested in Elementary Education with a French, German or Spanish minor should contact Lisa Maniak, Academic Advisor in CEHSP Student Affairs (113 Bohannon Hall, 726-7667, mani0059@d.umn.edu).
Secondary and K-12
The Secondary Education Program offers:
- Grade 5 through Grade 12 licensure in Communication Arts/Literature, Health, Math, Sciences and Social Studies.
- Kindergarten through Grade 12 licensure in Art, Music, Physical Education, French, German and Spanish.
Special Education
The Special Education Program offers:
- Licensure for Kindergarten through Grade 12 in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, and Learning Disabilities.
- Licensure for Birth through Age 6 Years 11 Months in Early Childhood Special Education.
- Special Education Minor.
- Deaf Studies Minor.
Collegiate Graduate Programs
The College of Education and Human Service Professions (CEHSP) offers two graduate degrees:
- Master of Education (M.Ed.), including Master of Education in Environmental Education
- Master of Special Education (M.Sp.Ed.).
