About Our Office
   
UMD-EHSO is a branch of the University-wide Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
 
We provide comprehensive services designed to protect the health and safety of faculty, staff, and students as well as minimize the impact of their activities on the surrounding environment and the community, in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
 
The EHSO staff consist of two full-time Public Health  Specialists, one Environmental Health Technician, and two part-time student workers.
