UMD-EHSO is a branch of the University-wide Department of Environmental Health and Safety.

 
We provide comprehensive services and programs designed to protect the health and safety of faculty, staff, and students; ensure we maintain a safe and healthful work and study environment; and minimize waste and the impact of our activities on the surrounding environment and the community, in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
 
The EHSO staff consist of two full-time Public Health Specialists and one Environmental Health Technician.
