IEO is happy to recognize Missy Kladja, a study abroad alumna, as the 2008 UMD Undergraduate Graduation Commencement Speaker! Ms. Kladja exemplifies the qualities of a UMD study abroad participant. As a Teaching French major, Ms. Kladja studied on the Academic Programs International (API) program to Montpellier, France, during the 2006-2007 academic year. Upon completion of her study abroad program, she entered and won the 2007 IEO Photo Contest. (Entry shown at left). Ms. Kladja wished to share the following quote which has been meaningful to her:
