Reports

 

"Reports" is the main page in eGradebook, and is the first page you will see each time you access a specific eGradebook.

When you are ready to explore what options are available to you, please use the navigational links to the left.

Option Description Default

UMN ID

Set in Display Options: Instructor
Category Name of category an assignment belongs to, and the grade weighting of the category, if applicable. Category name is live link to a histogram of grade distribution for the category.  
Assignment Name of the specific assignment. Assignment name is live link to a histogram of scores distribution for the specific assignment.  
Assignment Total Total point value possible for the specific assignment.  
View A live link to the actual view your student will see of her or his grades.  
Student Scores View the score of the student for the assignment.  
Export This Gradebook Exports a comma separated value file of your eGradebook suitable for use in spreadsheets such as Excel. Pay attention to where you save it!  
Export Final Grades Exports a file of your eGradebook suitable for uploading into the UMN grade reporting system. Pay attention to where you save it!

Optional Options

Depending upon the options you choose in the Display Options: Instructor section of the "Display Options" page, additional options appear on the "Scores" and "Reports" pages. Optional Options!

Reports' Optional Options
Option Name in Display Options: Instructor Description
Total Show Total Total points earned by the student (points based grading only).
Total % Show Total % Overall percentage in class. Also is a live link to a histogram of the distribution in the class.
Grade Show Grade Overall letter grade in class.
UMN ID Show Student IDs UMN ID number (e.g., 1234567).
Username Show Student Email Username as live email link (e.g., umds0051).
[PC] n/a A live link to the private comments to the student, and any notes you keep about the student. To activate this option, you'll need to go to the "Comments" page.
[C] n/a A live link to comments to the student, students will be able to see this comment when they log in and you can confirm the visibility of this comment by clicking on the "view" link next to the students name. To activate this option, you'll need to go to the "Comments" page.
Break Points Show Break Points Legend of cutoff values for grades in the class.
