Recommended Competencies for Faculty, Staff, and Students

Technology competencies are organized into three categories:

• Primary competencies are those that are strongly recommended for all.


• Intermediate competencies are recommended for many, depending upon their role and/or discipline.


• Advanced competencies are recommended for those who are exploring new technologies or who have a special need in their role and/or discipline.

Technology competencies are listed for three groups:

• Students


• Faculty


• Staff
