Deadlines

First Semester

• Register before the first day of class
• Last day of second week is the last day to drop a class

Second Semester

• Register before the first day of class
• Last day of second week is the last day to drop a class
• Find an Advisor by April 1 (or Nov. 1)
• Graduate Degree Plan Form to DGS by April 20 (or Nov. 20)
• Application for Comprehensive Examination Form to Pam in the office by April 20 (Nov. 20) (The Comprehensive Exam is given the first Saturday after the week of finals)
• Summer Research Fellowship Application to DGS by April 30

Third Semester

• Register before the first day of class
• Last day of second week is the last day to drop a class
• Directed Research Form must be completed before registering
• Math Office sends Graduate Degree Plan form to Grad School by by Nov. 20 (or April. 20)

Fourth Semester

• Register before the first day of class
• Last day of second week is the last day to drop a class
• Turn in Commencement Attendance Questionnaire to UMD Graduate School office by March 1
• Turn in Degree form to UMD Graduate School office by March 1 if you wish to participate in spring commencement or the first working day of the month you intend to graduate
• Request the Final Examination form from Graduate School at least 2 weeks before defense date
