Mission:
The
mission of the Hispanic/Latino/Chicana Learning Resource Center is
to promote and enhance the academic and personal success of Hispanic/Latino/Chicana
students by fostering an environment, which will result in a more successful
and positive University experience. In order to achieve this mission,
the Hispanic/Latino/Chicana Learning Resource Center provides several
academic, cultural, and social services including:

HLC
Learning Resource Center works with bilingual staff for students needing
Spanish assistance. The office also houses a vast culturally oriented
library. HLC Learning Resource Center coordinates campuswide efforts
to increase understanding of Latino/Chicana culture and to foster an
appreciation of cultural diversity.
Dolores
Huerta Center:
The
Dolores Huerta Center is located in the Kirby Plaza 182. This
is a place for students to get together and exchange ideas.
There are several bilingual newspapers, magazines and newsletters
located there.
