University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Vice Chancellor for Academic Administration, Vincent Magnuson has announced the appointment of two new deans effective July 1, 1999.
Dr. Paul Deputy has been appointed dean of the College of Education and Human Service Professions. Dean Deputy received his Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology with minors in Experimental Psychology and Hearing Science from Michigan State University. He most recently served as Dean of Education and Professor of Communication Disorders at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Dr. Linda Krug has been appointed dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Dean Krug received her Ph.D. in Speech Communications with a major concentration in Socio-Political Influence of Language and a minor concentration in Media Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was an associate professor in the Communication Department at UMD, and has served as Acting Dean of the College of Liberal Arts for the past year.
