Although we are digging ourselves out from our record-breaking snowfall, it’s time to think about summer and fall registration.

Summer is a great time to take a class, whether your student has some catching up to do, or would just like to get ahead with their degree. Registration for summer begins March 4th. For more information, visit the UMD Summer Sessions webpage to find options for in-person (spend your summer by the lake!) or online classes ranging from Music in Film (MU 1004) to Controversy in the Boundary Waters (COMM 3620).

Fall 2020 registration starts April 1st. Students will soon receive an email from the Office of the Registrar which will list their individual registration time. Many students are required to meet with their academic advisor before they register. It’s important to schedule a meeting prior to their registration date so they can be ready to register at their assigned time. Students can find their advisor by logging into MyU and clicking the Academics tab.

There are various holds that may impact registration (one of which is an advising hold which will not be released until the student meets with an advisor).

Students are welcome to contact their collegiate advising offices for assistance.
