Cheryl Anderson
Cheryl Anderson is a Customer Service Representative for Facilities Management.
Cheryl has become the key person coordinating details for improving Indoor Air
Quality at UMD. She communicates with employees, makes arrangements for investigations
and takes action by scheduling what needs to be handled and follows through
to see that everything is done completely and correctly. Cheryl worked with
HR and Environmental Health and Safety to develop a process for documenting
every IAQ issue.
Taking on each project and developing and coordinating each project takes
commitment, understanding, attention to detail, and requires the coordination
and management of many details. She personally goes to the location to evaluate
what needs to be done, schedules the necessary work, discusses what needs to
be done with the appropriate crew supervisor and follows through to see that
every detail has been accomplished once the scheduled work has been completed.
The customer feedback from individuals and departments has been very positive.
The customer's response tells us that Cheryl has a way of reassuring people
that helps the individuals understand they are being heard and their situation
taken seriously.
For all these reasons, it is a pleasure to present Cheryl with this award.
