Outstanding Service Award Recipient (2010-2011)
“She is one of the first to say ‘I’ll do it’ (and never begrudgingly!) and she consistently follows through with her commitments.” This was said of Linda Klint’s work with the Commission on Women, but reiterated over and over by the Geography department, the College of Liberal Arts and even the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Administration’s office.
Linda is the sole administrative staff for the growing Geography department and they credit her hard work for their success and growth. Her job is varied, and to some extent quite unique. It was noted that she is the only staff in CLA with both external and internal sales accounts to manage. Linda is self-directed. She sees, knows and does what needs to be done, and she is innovative in finding ways to make necessary improvements, despite budget constraints.
Linda is also is committed to the broader campus community, serving on the CLA Budget Committee, launching a book drive for K-5 children, and working with the Commission on Women. Recognizing her skills and dedication, she is frequently requested as a mentor for new employees in CLA.
For her role in advancing her department, her college and the larger campus community, we are happy to present this award to Linda.
