Market Day in the Plaza


Farmers Market at UMD is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Employee Wellness Program, UMD Department of Human Resources, UMD Stores, UMD Auxiliary services, and UMD Recreational Sports Outdoor Program.

The market opens every Wednesday from May 16 to September 26, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. or sellout at 1120 Kirby Drive, in front of Kirby Plaza (outside UMD Stores). During inclement weather, the location is inside the Kirby Plaza entrance OR the Kirby bus hub.

Vendors from Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota, Lake Superior Chapter will have fresh fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, farm fresh pasture raised eggs, organic culinary herbs, bedding plants, hanging baskets, perennials, annuals, vegetable transplants, lotions, balms, cold relief teas and drops, tinctures, skin products - including itch/rash relief and tub tea bags, and much more available!

Complimentary tote bags will be given away to faculty and staff. An email will be sent out when distribution is available. The tote bags are funded by the University of Minnesota Employee Wellness Program.
