61 DAYS OF runs from March 1 - April 30, 2007

All you have to do is keep track of your daily 15 minutes of physical activity and consumption of 5 A Day servings of fruits and vegetables.

Take a walk. Climb the stairs. Work in the yard. Physical activity need not be strenuous to be good for you. Wear your pedometer!

Why 5 A Day? The 5 A Day for Better Health Program is a national initiative to increase consumption of fruits and vegetables by all Americans. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables every day will promote good health and may help reduce the risk of stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, and some cancers. (Source: http://5aday.gov/)

Join us in this wellness effort to power our way to better lives and at the same time support the American Diabetes Association's Walk.

Registration starts at 7:00 a.m
Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.

Every 21 seconds someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Every 21 seconds there is a new reason to walk. Who is your reason? Join the American Diabetes Association's America's Walk for Diabetes. Set your own goals and walk as long or as far as you want! Enjoy a morning of exercise, food and fun for the entire family. Money raised will support diabetes research information and advocacy.

*Entry desk to the new addition (156 SpHC - end of hallway overlooking the ice rink)
* Employees housed in Sports Health Center Building must register at the Human Resources office, 255 Darland Administration Building
