UMD Wellness Walkers - Summer 2005
Fitness Begins One Step at a Time
Goal: to promote wellness and encourage employees to maintain a
healthy living environment.
The campaign challenges UMD faculty and staff to walk or do physical
activity totalling 100 miles from June 1 to August 31, 2005, and to log
their physical activities. Once the 100-mile challenge has been completed,
employees may submit the log form to the Department of Human Resources
to be eligible for a prize drawing of $50 gift certificate from a Duluth
store of the winner's choice. Employees that turn-in their log form by
September 12, 2005, will receive a free UMD Wellness Walkers t-shirt or
"do" water bottle, while supplies last.
