Blackboard for Dec. 11
Evaluations. Today, Dr. Sigler will be in class for the
first ten minutes or so to proctor the course evaluations. Policy says
I must be out of the room, and so I'll return as soon as I've finished
conducting someone else's evaluations down the hall.
As you're waiting for me to return, please bring up your Client Project
on your computer, and work on it in preparation for the Visiting Day Workshop
described below.
Peer Techniques. Thanks for all of you for your interesting
Peer Technique Presentations this semester. Today, Ashley will conclude
our series with a demonstration of frame
sets.
Return of the New. At the end of class, I'll return your
New Media Writing Projects. If you received an e-mail reminder to turn
in an annotated printout of your project, please do so as soon as possible
so I can fully respond to your work.
Visiting Day Workshops. We'll complete the Visiting
Day Workshops of the Client projects today.
We'll begin by having team M-Z visit A-L to discuss the Client Projects.
Each M-Z member will visit with any three A-L members, ten minutes each.
Then, in the second half of the class time, A-L people will take ten
minutes each visiting with three M-Z folks. Try to do some good! This
will be our last class session together.

Remaining Projects:
1. The Final Version of the Client Project is due to
be posted to the same URL as
the BETA by our scheduled final exam time, Thursday,
12/18 at noon. You will also turn in to me an annotated
printout by the same time.
2. The Analytical
Essay 2 will also be due
by our scheduled final exam time, Thursday, 12/18
at noon.
Some of you will be revising
your first essay for this assignment, but, if
so, keep in mind that your grade on the assignment will be based on the
degree of improvement over the original. If you take this option, be sure
to include both your first essay with my comments on it, and annotations
on your revision explaining your improvements and enhancements.
Grades or Feedback after the Final. If you would like
to receive either grades or feedback on the final two items above, please
e-mail me indicating the project
and whether you want the grade, feedback, or both.
Capote's "A Christmas Memory." Joe Maiolo from
the English department will read Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory"
today at 4 p.m. in the Weber Music Hall.
