GRADUATE TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
Dr. Hicks is seeking another student to work on a Ph.D. or M.S. degree under his guidance starting in summer or fall 2008. This student could work on one of several current projects in our lab, but most probably the Ship-Mediated Harmful Microbes project. This new project would be ideal for students with a keen interest in aquatic microbiology or ecology who already have some background in molecular biology. Outstanding applicants can obtain an academic year GTA through the UMD Department of Biology and summer GRA support through research grant funding. An academic year GRA appointment might be possible for a Ph.D. student working on the Ship-Mediated Harmful Microbes project. [Posted: December, 2007]
